This Privacy Policy explains how Patil Wada, operated by Prashant Patil, handles personal information when you browse this website, contact us, create a guest account, make a direct booking, complete a payment, stay at the villa, or submit a review.

If you book through Airbnb or another third-party platform, that platform's privacy policy also applies to the information it collects and controls.

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Booking details: guest name, mobile number, optional email address, check-in and check-out dates, number of adults and children, total guests, and special requests.
• Account details: name, contact information, encrypted password, profile information, preferences, and account status when you use the Guest Portal.
• Payment records: amount, payment status, booking reference, invoice details, and payment-provider transaction identifiers.
• Stay and verification information: government-issued identification may be checked or recorded at check-in where reasonably required for guest verification, safety, or legal compliance.
• Messages and reviews: enquiries, support conversations, feedback, ratings, review text, and photos you choose to submit.
• Technical information: essential session information, theme preference saved on your device, and basic security or server logs used to keep the service reliable.

Please avoid including sensitive personal information in the special-request or message fields unless it is necessary for your stay.

We use personal information only for lawful, relevant purposes, including to:

• check availability, create and manage bookings, calculate charges, and verify payments;
• send confirmations, invoices, stay instructions, service updates, and respond to enquiries;
• verify the lead guest, maintain property security, prevent fraud, and address emergencies;
• provide guest support, handle cancellations, refunds, rescheduling, complaints, and disputes;
• maintain accounting, tax, legal, and operational records;
• moderate reviews, improve the website and guest experience, and diagnose technical problems; and
• send optional promotional communication only when permitted, with a way to opt out.

Where consent is required, you may withdraw it for future processing. Withdrawal does not affect processing already lawfully completed or records we must retain.

The current direct-booking option is cash payment at the villa, so no online card, UPI, or banking credential is collected during booking. If online payment is enabled later through Razorpay, Patil Wada will receive only the payment status and transaction references needed to match a payment to your booking. We will not directly store your complete card number, UPI PIN, CVV, or online-banking password.

We may use carefully selected providers for payment processing, email delivery, website hosting, database services, maintenance, and security. They may process only the information reasonably needed to provide their service and are subject to their own legal and contractual obligations.

The website may use essential cookies for secure sign-in and session continuity. Your light or dark theme choice may be stored locally in your browser so the website remembers your preference.

We do not currently use advertising cookies or third-party behavioural analytics on this website. Razorpay or another service you deliberately open may use its own cookies under its privacy policy. If we add optional analytics or marketing technologies later, we will update this notice and provide consent controls where required.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information:

• with payment, technology, communication, accounting, or professional-service providers supporting your booking;
• with villa staff who need it to prepare for and manage your stay;
• with government, law-enforcement, tax, or regulatory authorities when required by law or a valid request;
• to protect guests, staff, the property, our legal rights, or prevent suspected fraud and misuse; or
• as part of a lawful business reorganisation, with suitable confidentiality safeguards.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected. Booking, payment, invoice, and transaction records may be kept for the periods required by accounting, tax, contractual, fraud-prevention, or other applicable legal obligations.

General enquiries are kept only while useful for follow-up; account information is generally kept while the account remains active; and published reviews may remain visible until removed or anonymised. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymise, or securely archive it.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. These include restricted access, password hashing, booking and payment verification, and encrypted connections when the production website is served over HTTPS.

No website, payment system, or method of storage is completely secure. Please use a strong unique password, protect your OTPs and payment credentials, and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account activity.

Subject to applicable law and necessary identity verification, you may ask us to:

• explain the personal information we hold about you and how it is being used;
• correct or update inaccurate or incomplete details;
• delete information that is no longer necessary, where no legal retention requirement applies;
• withdraw a consent or stop optional promotional messages; or
• review and resolve a privacy-related grievance.

Send a request from the email address or phone number associated with your booking to contact@patilwada.com. We may request reasonable proof of identity and booking details before acting. Rights available under applicable law, including nomination rights where applicable, are not limited by this policy.

Direct bookings must be made by an adult aged 18 or above. We may record the number of children included in a stay for pricing, occupancy, and safety, but the booking adult is responsible for providing that information and supervising minors at the property.

Please do not create an account or submit a booking request on behalf of a child without appropriate parental or guardian authority.

Links to Google Maps, WhatsApp, social media, payment services, and booking platforms take you to services that Patil Wada does not control. Review their privacy terms before sharing information with them.

We may update this policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. The revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated through the website or your booking contact details when appropriate.
